David’s Wood

David planted a Birch wood here in 2003.

Sadly all the native Betula pendula succumbed to a virus – basically it is too wet for them here. I have seen others in the locality similarly afflicted. So in late 2012 they were felled. Happily Betula pubescens thrives as do some other specimen trees. The green space now reflects our neighbours field further up the hill.
